HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Zach Bryan, the multi-platinum, GRAMMY-winning country artist, will headline a concert at Marshall University’s Joan C. Edwards Stadium on August 30. The performance marks the first time the stadium will host a major concert.
Tickets for the show will go on sale Friday, March 28, at 10 a.m. ET through AXS.
Christian Spears, Marshall’s Director of Athletics, shared his excitement about the event, saying, “This one has been a goal from the beginning as part of our annual Game Plan. We have worked to make Joan C. Edwards Stadium a viable option for a major recording artist. Bringing a concert of this magnitude to our region with an artist like Zach Bryan is super-special. We are so thankful for his team, the folks at AEG and our athletics staff and university community who did not flinch at the effort and work of it. I’m grateful to be at a place with people who can make these things happen! It’s going to be a spectacularly great event!”
The concert will begin at 7 p.m. and also feature special guest Petey USA. Bryan’s August performance is part of a wider stadium tour that includes stops at major venues such as Michigan Stadium, Notre Dame Stadium, and MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J.
The announcement comes after Bryan attended Marshall’s Homecoming Game in 2024, where he experienced the excitement of the Thundering Herd’s 52-37 victory over Appalachian State.
Bryan, who has built a reputation for sold-out tours and record-breaking performances, is expected to draw a large crowd to Huntington. His recent “Quittin’ Time 2024 Tour” saw him perform in 85 arenas and stadiums across North America, further solidifying his position as one of the most popular country artists of his generation.
Bryan commented on the upcoming show, stating, “Having the opportunity to perform in Huntington is something I’ve been looking forward to for a long time. Marshall fans and the community showed me so much love during my visit, and I can’t wait to return this summer to put on a show they won’t forget.”
As a headliner at prominent events like Stagecoach Festival and BST Hyde Park in London, Bryan continues to make waves in the music industry. His 2023 self-titled album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and was well-received by critics and fans alike.
Bryan’s fan base continues to grow, thanks to hits like “Something in the Orange” and “I Remember Everything” (featuring Kacey Musgraves). His recent work, including the 2024 album The Great American Bar Scene, has earned critical acclaim and widespread attention.
Tickets for Bryan’s Huntington show are expected to sell quickly, with many eager to see the country music sensation perform live. For more ticket information, visit the AXS website.
